Cratek was founded in 1985 and started as a small packaging and shipping storefront in Boulder, CO. Opportunities grew as the manufacturing and technology industries boomed along Colorado’s Front Range and more companies needed crating systems. Following a relocation, Cratek no longer provided shipping services and focused on building crates and pallets. Through our 30+ years of business growth, we’ve perfected our trade and exceeded customer expectations through our dedication to quality, reliability, and safety.
Kerry started with Cratek in 2005 as the southern region sales representative and manager of the Denver Branch. She had already worked several decades in the crating industry and had incredible knowledge and expertise before she joined the Cratek team. Currently, she is a co-owner and the CEO of Cratek. Despite this upward progression, sales and customer relations remain at the heart of her daily tasks. She is intracule in managing complex projects and guiding customers to a trustworthy packaging solution. She truly enjoys the challenge of creating containment that works for each unique shape, size, and function of her customer’s product. She takes pride in caring for the company’s crew and is often caught dropping off fresh vegetables or a hot breakfast in the break room. When the weekends roll around, she can be found toiling in her gorgeous yard and garden with her dogs by her side; or up in the mountains camping with her family.
Sam started at the northern branch in 1998 as a nightshift crate builder. He then moved down to the southern branch in Denver and worked with Kerry. Currently, Sam is VP, a shop foreman, and a Co-owner of Cratek. Sam manages the production floor, is responsible for maintaining the facilities and is an onsite project consultant. He’s a master carpenter and greatly enjoys the challenge of transforming detailed drawings into a functional packaging solution. He welcomes each new crew member with hands-on expert training on the saws, power tools, and job site. On his down time, he can be found hunting, Jeeping in Moab or camping with his family.
Justin began his work at Cratek in March of 2015 at the northern branch, as a salesman. He has since moved into part-ownership and the CFO. On a day-to-day basis Justin can be found, dreaming, and implementing new ideas for the business, budgeting, and answering phones, while on other days he’ll be helping on the shop floor and unloading trucks. He oversees the packaging side as well, helping the outside salesperson plan and execute sales objectives. The highlight of his day is working with his family and friends who double as co-workers. On his off time, he enjoys lifting weights, fishing or kicking around the hacky sack.
Clark was hired in 1996 as a cutter at the northern branch. He is now the schedule manager. His duties include answering phone calls and emails for quotes, sending invoices and assisting with operations and human resources. He likes the customers he emails and the different puzzles that arise each day. When he’s not in the office, Clark can be found taking care of his horses or golfing.
Carlos was hired in the fall of 2017, beginning his work at the northern Cratek Supply branch. Currently, Carlos is the company’s bookkeeper, supply-side inventory manager, and inside sales. Inside the office he answers phones, sends quick quotes, pays bills, invoices customers and coordinates deliveries. In the warehouse he organizes and manages the stored merchandise and unloads trucks. When he is not hustling around at work, he can be found home brewing and spending time with his family.
Samantha started with Cratek Supply in the spring of 2017 starting as an outside salesperson. She currently manages the packaging supply side and is responsible for meeting with customers at their facilities and designing efficient packaging from the ground up. Alternatively, she can help customers with current packaging source the best product based on their budget and item value. Sam assists in answering phones, provides timely quotes, coordinates the vendor managed inventory program, and helps schedule deliveries. She’s responsible for sales outreach and collaborating with Justin on marketing projects. On her down time Sam can be found landscaping in her yard, working out or fishing with her husband and pups.
